PRE-SCHOOL MANAGER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pre-school Manager at Little Acorns.  We are looking for an exceptional leader for our team as we nurture the ‘Little Acorns’ of our community through their first steps into education. 

We are looking for someone with a minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification, working knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and who has had managerial experience for at least 2 years.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated management attributes which have acknowledged the skills, experience, creativity and contributions of the whole team, with a willingness to share credit for good ideas. This culture is central to our pre-school’s practices.

We are a registered charity Pre-school managed by a committee of parents, in the village of Shireoaks. We have our own purpose built building and all weather outdoor space, located in the grounds of St Luke’s CofE Primary School, who we maintain a close relationship with.

We are proud of our “Good” rating from OFSTED in 2016 and strive to maintain and build on this.  We have a committed staff team of Early Years Practitioners and a Business Administrator.  We open from 8am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday (which incorporates a breakfast club) during term time and offer 24 daily places.

This is a permanent, 30 hour per week term time position with 5 additional planning days.

Annual salary £14,124 (includes annual leave and bank holiday entitlements).
