Brand Savvy Orders for September 2020

Important update regarding school uniform orders.
Brand Savvy is fully functional to produce school uniform however we will be running slower than usual in order to work safely.

To maintain the safety of our staff and customers we are unable to allow customers to enter the store freely. This year we have to insist that all uniform orders are placed on line.

Orders will not be taken in person or by telephone.

  1. Order online before July 24th for guaranteed completion before start of term in September. Select home delivery or safe collection: http://brandsavvy.co.uk/littleacorns
  2. Receive order confirmation and order number.
  3. Wait for a text notification of your collection day or dispatch day. This could be 3-4 weeks. Please do not call the store before this time.
  4. On your collection day arrive at the store with your order number. 1 person will be allowed in store at any time. Check before entering or wait outside at 2 meter distancing from other customers.
  5. We will place your order on the collection table for you to safely remove and take away.

Job Opportunities

We have two opportunities for you to work at Little Acorns:

Two exciting part time Pre-school Practitioner opportunities have arisen at Little Acorns Pre-school. We are looking for exceptional team-players to join us as we nurture the ‘Little Acorns’ of our community through their first steps into education.

We are recruiting two Pre-school Practitioners on term time only permanent contracts – one 17 hours per week and one 14 hours per week. Our opening hours are 8.00am to 3.30pm (which incorporates a breakfast club).

We are a registered charity Pre-school managed by a committee of parents, in the village of Shireoaks, and are proud of our ‘Good’ ratings from Ofsted in 2019 and 2016.  We have our own purpose built building and all weather outdoor space, located in the grounds of St. Luke’s CofE Primary School.

The successful candidate must be qualified to at least Level 3 in Early Years Childcare (NNEB, BTEC, NVQ) and have experience of responsibility of care for children in a day nursery or similar setting. Experience working as a key person for children aged from 2 to 5 years is desirable, as is a current paediatric first aid certificate.

These positions pay above the National Living Wage rate.

Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 18th October 2019.

Interviews will be held during the week commencing Monday 11th November 2019.

The vacancies are immediate and the successful applicants will commence employment as soon as they are able to.

Shireoaks Village Hall Reopening

There is an Open Day on Saturday 6th April from 10am to 4pm to allow people across the community to come and have a look around the refurbished Village Hall.

There will also be a service of thanksgiving starting at 4pm on Sunday 7th April at St. Luke’s Church followed by the opening ceremony in the Village Hall.
